Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi Technology (Xiaomi) recently announced the launch in China of a high-end smartphone, the “REDMI K100 Pro,” equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series.
The REDMI K100 Pro is a high-spec Android smartphone with a 6.59-inch (2510×1156) display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series SM8850-1-AB 4.6GHz octa-core CPU, 12GB/16GB RAM, storage capacities of 256GB/512GB, and a main camera with 200MP + 8MP + a 50-megapixel triple camera.
This model also has the D2 graphics chip and BOSE co-developed speakers. It includes the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series SoC (AnTuTu Bench model with reduced GPU performance compared to the standard version, about 4.09 million yuan), an 8,580mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, a 200-megapixel triple camera with optical image correction, a high-resolution AMOLED display with an 185Hz refresh rate, and AI.
The OS is Android 16 (Xiaomi HyperOS 3); it supports water and dust resistance, 5G communication, USB Type-C connector, no earphone jack, and biometric authentication that supports fingerprint and facial recognition.
REDMI K100 Pro Price and Release Date
Available in four colours: black, white, red, and green. The REDMI K100 Pro is scheduled to launch in China in August 2026, with a price of 3,999 yuan (about 77,000 Ksh) for the RAM 12GB/256GB model, 4,399 yuan (about 84,500 Ksh) for the RAM 16GB/256GB model, 4,599 yuan (about 88,200 yen) for the RAM 12GB/512GB model, and 4,999 yuan (about 96,000 yen) for the RAM 16GB/512GB model.
Furthermore, the REDMI K100 Pro Max was announced at the same time.
