    Here Are The NHIF Rates For 2022

    The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) is an initiative that has been set up to cover all individuals in Kenya who are over the age of 18 years.

    The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) was founded in 1966 and covers both inpatient care services and outpatient care services, making it a fundamental part of the healthcare system in Kenya.

    It currently has ninety five (95) branches that are independent, as well as satellite offices and is situated in all the forty seven (47) Huduma Centers available in Kenya.

    How National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) Rates Are Calculated

    The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) rates are currently based on the gross monthly income of members. As it stands, the current minimum contribution for income of up to 5,999 Kenyan Shillings is 150 Kenyan Shillings. For income of over 100,000 Kenyan Shillings per month the highest contribution is pegged at 1,700 Kenyan Shillings.
