The news is coming at a time when a number of social media platforms have also entered into the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) space.

Meta for example, is said to be working on creating its very own Non-Fungible Token (NFT) marketplace for its users and Twitter recently launched a feature that makes it possible for its users to officially verify Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) used as their profile pictures or Avatars on the platform.
