Subsidiary of Kenya Airways; Jambojet, has joined forces with a number of hotels in Kenya for a campaign called Now Travel Ready.
The campaign is aimed at helping the low-cost airline boost domestic travel in Kenya. Especially as the country attempts to get things back to normal after the shutdown brought on by the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Among the hotels which are part of the Now Travel Ready Campaign are Grand Royal Swiss Hotel and Sovereign Hotel in Kisumu, Ciala Resort, Swahili Beach Resort and Diani Sea Lodge in Diani, Pride Inn Hotels and Hotel Englishpoint in Mombasa, as well as the Voyager Beach Resort.
Others include Naiberi Resort and The Nobel Hotel in Eldoret, Ocean Beach Resort & Spa and Luxury Springs Villas in Malindi and Watamu, and Plan Hotel Resorts, alongside the Turtle Bay Beach Club.
The Head of Jombojet’s sales and marketing; Titus Oboogi said, “With the launch of this campaign, we want to show our customers the new normal of travel. From the moment they leave their home, to when they get to the airport, arrive at their destination, the hotels they can stay at and the measures in place, as well as the activities they can take part in.”
Jambojet resumed flights and operations on the 15th of July 2020, with 1 flight to Malindi, 3 daily flights to Mombasa, 2 flights to Eldoret, 2 to Kisumu, as well as 4 weekly flights to Diani.
The airline also recently announced its move to enter into the charter operations business. The move is seen as Jambojet diversifying it offerings with regards to products and its answer to the growing needs of its users.
