To make it easier I have broken this article into 2 parts, the requirements for a Tourist Visa to Senegal and the requirements for a Business Visa to Senegal:
Tourist Visa Senegal Requirements For Kenyan Passport Holders
For a tourist visa to Senegal, please ensure that you have:
- A Kenyan Passport that is valid for at least six (6) months.
- Two (2) visa application forms for each visa applicant. They must be duly signed and completed.
- Two (2) copies of the biographical data page of your Kenyan passport.
- Two (2) standard size passport photos. Please make sure the photos are taken on a white background.
- A copy of your plane ticket or ticket reservation.
- Proof of accommodation during your stay. It could be a hotel reservation.
- Letter of introduction which you must present yourself. This letter of introduction will basically include your name, nationality, physical address or place of residence in Kenya, as well as your working address with proof. The letter of introduction, should also indicate the indicating purpose of your visit to Senegal, details of your accommodation, as well as the length of your intended stay.
If the purpose of your trip is visiting someone, please ensure that you attach copies of the identity documents as well as a legal letter of invitation from the individual you will be visiting in Senegal.
Business Visa Senegal Requirements For Kenyan Passport Holders
For a business visa to Senegal, please ensure that you have:
- A Kenyan Passport that is valid for at least six (6) months.

- Invitation letter from Senegal and an introduction letter from your company in your country of residence which is in this case; Kenya.
Please bear in mind that the visa application must be filed at the Senegalese Embassy between 9 am and 1 pm, and from Monday to Thursday.
