The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) rates are currently based on the gross monthly income of members. As it stands, the current minimum contribution for income of up to 5,999 Kenyan Shillings is 150 Kenyan Shillings. For income of over 100,000 Kenyan Shillings per month the highest contribution is pegged at 1,700 Kenyan Shillings.
