    Android 11 Official Update Now Available For Oppo A93 In Kenya

    Google’s official Android 11 Operating System (OS) is finally available on the Oppo A93 smartphone in Kenya, weeks after the Beta version which was released on the 5th of January 2021 for testing.

    If you have the Oppo A93 and would like to update it to the latest Android software but don’t know how to, simply go to:

    • Settings.
    • Next, select ‘Software Updates’. Doing this will enable you download the latest Android Operating System (OS) update.

    Once done, Android 11 should immediately begin downloading. The installation will only take a couple of minutes. Please ensure that your Oppo A93 smartphone is adequately charged.

    If you use in any banking app on your Oppo A93 there is one important thing you should know before updating your device. most of the banking apps available in Kenya, have not yet been updated to effectively support devices that run on Google’s Android 11 Operating System (OS). As a result of this, there is a somewhat slim chance that you might get locked out of your banking application(s) if you update your Oppo A93 right now.     This device has a Super AMOLED display that is 6.5 inches, 1080 by 2400 pixels with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Brightness wise, it can get up to 430 nits.

    At the back the Oppo A93 has a Quad camera setup which includes a wide 48 Megapixel lens that is 26mm, with an aperture of f/1.7, 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), an ultra-wide 8 Megapixel lens with an f/2.2 aperture, 119˚, 1/4.0″, and 1.12µm, one 2 Megapixel lens for depth that has an aperture of f/2.4 and another 2 Megapixel lens for depth as well that also has an aperture of f/2.4.

    For the front cameras or selfie cameras, it comes with a 16 Megapixel wide lens with an f/2.4 aperture, 1/3.09″, and 1.0µm, and a 2 Megapixel lens for depth, that packs an aperture of f/2.4.

    The Oppo A93 has a PowerVR GM9446 GPU, a Mediatek MT6779V Helio P95 (12nm) Chipset, a RAM of 8GB, an internal storage of 128GB, UFS 2.1, and a dedicated microSD card slot that is expandable.

    It has a 4000 mAh battery which supports Fast Charge of up to 18W.

    The Oppo A93 supports 2G networks, 3G networks, and 4G networks, and has an under display Fingerprint sensor.

    Connectivity wise, it supports USB On The Go (OTG), Bluetooth 5.1, Hotspot, WiFi Direct, Dual Band, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GALILEO, QZSS, USB Type-C 2.0, A2DP, LE, aptX HD GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and BDS.

    In the colours department the Oppo A93 comes in Magic Blue, Metallic White, and Matte Black.

    It ships with Google’s Android 10 Operating System (OS) and Oppo’s ColorOS 7.2 but as already mentioned at the beginning of this article, it can be updated to Google’s Android 11 Operating System (OS) and Oppo’s very own ColorOS V11.
