    Social media giant; Facebook’s parent company Meta is looking set to make it possible for its users to be able to create Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and also sell Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). It is believed that the company is looking to capitalize on the recent increased interest in digital collectibles.

    The teams at Instagram and Facebook, are reportedly working on a feature that will make it possible for users on both platforms to be able to showcase their Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) directly on their social media profiles and accounts. The teams at both social media platforms are also reportedly working on a prototype that will make it possible for their users to mint their Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

    Meta which has also launched a pilot which makes Crypto payments via WhatsApp possible, is considering launching an Non-Fungible Token (NFT) marketplace as well, where it will be possible for users to buy and sell their digital assets.

    Adam Mosseri who is the Head of Instagram made it known in December of 2021 stated that the platform was “actively exploring NFTs.”
