    How To Start A Smokie And Boiled Egg Business In Kenya

    To start a Smokie business in Kenya you will need:

    1. A good location. This is very important for various reasons like getting the maximum exposure to potential customers, weather restrictions like rain, dust, as well as other reasons. More on this later on in the article.
    2. A vending cart for your smokies and boiled eggs. This usually costs around 5,000 Kenyan Shillings.
    3. After securing the vending cart, you will kachumbari. For the non kenyan reader, Kachumbari consists of onions, tomatoes, the dania vegetable, pepper, tomato sauce and or chili sauce. All that will cost around 200 to 300 Kenyan Shillings.

    6. A garbage or litter bin where you or your customers can dispose of egg shell and other waste products.
    7. A large umbrella that can cover you, your customers and your vending cart during the raining season.

    Smokies Earnings

    One (1) piece of Smokie usually retails for 25 Kenyan Shillings. Sometimes it goes as high as 30 Kenyan Shillings or 35 Kenyan Shillings depending of course, on the location. What this means is that for every 22 pieces pack of Smokies, you will be making 550 Kenyan Shillings, 660 Kenyan Shillings or 770 Kenyan Shillings.

    Smokies Profit

    In a nutshell, you will potentially be making a profit of 200 Kenyan Shillings, 310 Kenyan Shillings or 420 Kenyan Shillings per pack.

    Boiled Eggs Earnings

    One (1) piece of boiled Egg usually retails for 20 Kenyan Shillings. Sometimes it goes as high as 25 Kenyan Shillings or 30 Kenyan Shillings depending of course, on the location. What this means is that for every 30 piece crate of Eggs, you will be making 600 Kenyan Shillings, 750 Kenyan Shillings or 900 Kenyan Shillings.

    Boiled Eggs Profit

    In a nutshell, you will potentially be making a profit of 240 Kenyan Shillings or 300 Kenyan Shillings, 390 Kenyan Shillings or 450 Kenyan Shillings, 540 Kenyan Shillings or 600 Kenyan Shillings per crate.

    In a month, you would potentially be making either 34,500 Kenyan Shillings, 42,300 Kenyan Shillings or 50,100. Which equivalent to and in some cases, higher than some 9 to 5 salaries.
