Technology giant; Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Galaxy S21 Series range of smartphones worldwide.
The S21 range includes the Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Each of the devices are mainly known for the professional level cameras which are suitable for users of any videography and photography skill level. The devices will also be coming with the most advanced processor ever put in a Galaxy smartphone.
The S21 smartphones are coming with iconic, state of the art designs and the same reliable power, connectivity and performance Samsung users have come to love and expect from the smartphone manufacturer.
The launch event which was held virtually, was streamed straight from Samsung’s Headquarters in Korea. It was viewed in Kenya in at the Connect Coffee Lounge on Riverside Drive in Nairobi.
The launch event viewing in Kenya was attended by the Managing Director of Samsung Electronics; Seok Min Hong, the Head of Integrated Mobile at Samsung East Africa; Charles Kimari, and numerous technology enthusiasts.
The Head of Integrated Mobile, Samsung East Africa; Charles Kimari said, “We are living in a mobile-first world, and with so many of us working remotely and spending more time at home, we wanted to deliver a smartphone experience that meets the rigorous multimedia demands of our continuously changing routines.”
He added that, “We also recognize the importance of choice, especially now, and that’s why the Galaxy S21 series gives you the freedom to choose the best device for your style and needs.”
The Samsung Galaxy S21 is designed to appeal to users who are looking for a device with a light design and a close packed display of 6.2 inches. For the Galaxy S21+, it comes with a display that it 6.7 inches and a much better battery that is perfect for users who love to binge watch content as well as users who play games for long periods of time.
The Galaxy S21 series also comes with an all new Contour Cut Camera housing that is iconic and blends into each device’s metal frame seamlessly to give it an aesthetic that is quite pleasing to the eyes.
The Galaxy S21 comes with a brilliant Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display that is edge to edge and has an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz for effortless viewing and scrolling.
The device adjusts the frame rate automatically depending on the content i.e if the user is watching a show, movie or just scrolling through their social media feed(s). Its display is also easy to look at with the new Eye Comfort Shield feature which helps to reduce eye fatigue, and automatically adjust the blue light based on the time of day based on the time of day, the user’s bedtime routine, and the content the user is viewing.
The largest member of the Galaxy S21 series is the S21 Ultra which is S-pen enabled. It comes with a 6.8 inches display that is the most brilliant display in today’s market, and also AMOLED 2x.
The refresh rate for the S21 Ultra’s display also adjusts to the particular content that the user is consuming. It adjusts from 10Hz to 120Hz, to guarantee that users get the best image quality while also remaining power efficient to ensure that the device’s battery life lasts for as long as possible.
When compared to the Samsung Galaxy S20, the S21 Ultra offers users a 25 percent brighter display with a peak brightness of 1,500nits of peak brightness making its display the brightest on any Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

The Galaxy S21 and S21+ will be available in a variety of vibrant and easy on the eyes colours in addition to a new signature colour called the Phantom Violet.
Each device in the S21 series, will also be coated with a luxurious haze finish on the back to give them an even more timeless, sophisticated look and feel.
For the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, it will be available in Phantom Silver, Phantom Black and will also be coated in the same luxurious haze as its siblings to give it that sophisticated look and feel.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra has three Exclusive Colorways; the Phantom Navy, the Phantom Titanium, and the Phantom Brown. It also comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The virtual launch of the S21 series included the Galaxy Buds Pro. With the Galaxy Buds Pro, users can expect more convenience, a maximized audio quality, complete with a stylish, sleek, and easy to use design.
Audio wise, the Galaxy Buds Pro has an impressive sound reproduction that is detailed, and energetic, as well as a bigger speaker system that is two way. Its improved 3 microphone system with the Wind Shield features, ensures that the user’s voice will be even more crispier than before.
Samsung has added the Auto Switch feature to the Galaxy Buds Pro to cater to users who tend to switch between their tablets and smartphones. They also come with the next generation of sound control alongside the super intelligent ANC on true wireless earbuds, with Ambient Sound modes and a spectrum of ANC to meet the needs of users.

All devices in Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Series, will be available for pre order from the 22nd of January 2021 to the 11th of February 2021.
For the Galaxy S21 Ultra (256 GB internal storage), will retail for 153,999 Kenyan Shillings, the Galaxy S21 Ultra (512 GB internal storage) will retail for 169,999 Kenyan Shillings.
The Galaxy S21 (128 GB internal storage) will retail for 99,999 Kenyan Shillings, while the Galaxy S21 (256 GB internal storage) will retail for 105,999 Kenyan Shillings.
For the Galaxy S21+, it will retail at 124,999 Kenyan Shillings.
All pre orders will come with a free Galaxy SmartTag, which enhances the Galaxy experience of consumers.
