Telecommunications giant; Safaricom has revealed that it has permanently increased the bandwidth for its Home Fibre packages.
The speeds or bandwidths were first increased for users in 2020 at the start of the still ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
The new development means that for users of Safaricom Home Fibre will now be able to enjoy at least twice the normal speeds that they pay for permanently. Safaricom Home Fibre Users on the Diamond package will even enjoy up to 250 percent more speeds. This is way more than double. Crazy right?
Secure net services will be provided for users who subscribe to the Gold and Diamond plans or packages at no extra costs. This will be added on as soon as the new changes are implemented on the 1st of March 2021.
The Bronze package which previously included a speed or bandwidth of 5MBs at a fee of 2,900 Kenyan Shillings per month, will now have a speed of 8MBs for the same price of 2,900 Kenyan Shillings.
Previously Safaricom Home Fibre users who subscribe to the Silver package got speeds of 10MBs at 3,999 Kenyan Shillings per month, will now enjoy speeds of 20MBs at the same monthly cost of 3,999 Kenyan Shillings per month.
Users who subscribe to the Gold package and used to get speeds of 20MBs will now get speeds of 40MBs for 5,999 Kenyan Shillings per month. For Safaricom Fibre Users on the Diamond Package, will now boost from 40MBs to enjoy speeds of 100MBs for 11,999 Kenyan Shillings per month.
This is a welcome development especially considering the fact that very many individuals are working and studying from home, as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
