Meta which was formerly known as Facebook, will now make it possible for cryptocurrency payments to be carried out on its popular instant messaging app; WhatsApp through its Cryptocurrency wallet; Novi.
The featured will be launched through a pilot programme that will only be available for a limited number of users in the United States (U.S). This is according to Stephane Kasriel who is the Head of Novi through a post on Twitter.
The news is coming not long after the former head of Novi; David Marcus made it known that he was leaving the company after being there for seven (7) years.
Meta also recently removed the ban it had previously placed on cryptocurrency advertisements on its platforms.
