East African Telecommunications giant; Safaricom, has now introduced a new feature that alerts users who use the company’s mobile money transfer user; M-PESA, to the transfer limit’s balance. Being that the maximum daily amount is 300,000 Kenyan Shillings this means is that, users will now be able to see exactly how much they have left to transact per day with each confirmation message received from M-PESA.
This is the latest addition to the number of new features that have been included in the now updated M-PESA mobile money transfer service, which has had more than a few maintenance periods in the last couple of weeks.
One of such upgrades that occurred was when businesses using Safaricom’s M-PESA service were now allowed to carry out transactions directly from their business tills.
The company also released a business App in June 2020 that allowed businesses on the M-PESA platform to withdraw money from the comfort of their bank accounts and mobile phones at M-PESA agent shops.
The business app also allows users to send money directly to suppliers, customers, as well as workers receiving salaries.
