How To Delete A Gmail Account Via An iOS Device
Apple’s iOS platform, does not have the OS-level Google settings. As a result of this, you will need to install the Gmail app on your iOS device before you will be able to continue with the deletion of your Gmail account.
To delete a Gmail account via an iOS device, simply:
- Launch the Gmail application on your iOS device.
- Once there, open the menu.
- From the menu, choose: ‘Settings’ and then ‘Your Account’ and then, ‘Manage Your Google Account’.
- Look for ‘Data & Personalization’ on the navigation panel and select it.
- Go to the section titled ‘Download, Delete, Or Make A Plan For Your Data’ and select the ‘Delete A Service Or Your Account’ option.
- On the new page, select the ‘Delete A Google Service’ option. Please keep in mind that Google may need you to re-sign into your account in order to confirm the password for your account.
- Next, choose Gmail and select ‘Delete’.
- Once done, follow any remaining instructions from Google.
