Bolt the transportation company formerly known as Taxify, has announced the launch of its newest service; ‘Bolt for Business’.
The new offering, will allow companies to manage and also pay for all corporate trips from one central location.
The newly appointed Country Manager for Bolt Kenya; Olaoluwa Akinussi, said: “A growing number of Bolt trips are taken for business purposes, whether it is commuting to work, rushing to client meetings or getting to the airport. Most companies still require invoices from their employees to be able to reimburse for the cost of the trip.”
Mr. Olaoluwa added that “Through this, Bolt aims to speed up and streamline the payment process for corporate employees, making it the preferred ride-hailing application for corporates.”
Bolt for Business will help companies save time and money on the reporting of individual expenses as well as the related paperwork.
With Bolt for Business instead of having employees collect and report individual invoices for trips taken via the ride-hailing service, users will now have all the information about their employees’ corporate Bolt trips stored in a single location without any extra effort.
Paying for the trips will also a lot easier with Bolt For Business. All companies have to do now, is pay once a month via a corporate bank card or a bank transfer, as opposed to having to reimbursing each individual employee.
Account managers can now set up company-wide rules on the new Bolt For Business portal, and control when and who can use business trips, thus making it simple to budget for and also get a clear overview of the company’s transportation expenses.
The service also allows corporates to set and customise the spending allowances as well as the number of trips employees can take.
It is also possible to make it a requirement that employees must report the purpose of the trip(s) before the ride.
Additional functionalities which include a prepaid payment method and adding restrictions to specific time and location for taking trips, will be added to Bolt for Business later in the year.
Bolt for Business is currently available in more than 25 markets across Europe and Africa and can be used on both desktop and mobile.
