Popular technology giant; Google, has reportedly hired a former executive of PayPal; Arnold Goldberg, to spearhead its payments services division.
The President of Commerce at Google; Bill Ready stated that, “The move is part of a broader strategy to team up with a wider range of financial services, including cryptocurrencies.”
For Google which continues to make its presence felt in the cryptocurrency world Bill Ready added that, “Crypto is something we pay a lot of attention to. As user demand and merchant demand evolves, we’ll evolve with it.”

The tech company is via numerous cryptocurrency integrations and partnerships, working to ensure that its users can keep their cryptocurrency assets in their digital cards while still spending fiat currencies.
Arnold Goldberg was the former Senior Vice President of Merchant Product and Technology at PayPal.
Google is also creating a group that will focus on the blockchain and other related technologies. It will be spearheaded by the search advertising veteran; Shivakumar Venkataraman.
Shivakumar Venkataraman who is a Vice President of Engineering at Alphabet Inc.’s Google, is now in charge of the unit which will be dedicated to blockchain as well as other next generation data storage and distributed computing technologies.
Shivakumar Venkataraman will be the Founding Leader of The Lab which is a business unit of Google featuring a mixture of augmented and virtual reality efforts.
